  • This fourth edition will be on June 14th, from 10:00pm-11:30pm, and we will taking you to the historic region of Chateauneuf-du-Pape lead by Christophe Bristiel of Chateau La Nerthe.
Five centuries ago, in 1560 to be exact… the first vines of Chateau La Nerthe were planted by the Tulle de Villefrache family. Through the years a castle was built on the property and many more grenache vines were planted around it. The domain gradually became one of the leading wine properties of the Rhone Valley. They were the first to ship wines in bottles and export to the United State in 1786. Talk about history! In 1985 the Richards family brought the renaissance of ‘Avant Garde and Excellence’ approach to the Chateau aim to revive the original values and implement new innovation. Want to learn more about the history and the future of this famous region and chateau? Come join us at SommLounge!
There will be Chateauneuf-du-Pape Trivia, and as well we encourage you to have a favorite bottle of wine on hand to enjoy and to test the tasting skills of your peers with a virtual 5 questions blind bottle share.
  • Our next edition will be April 26th, from 10:00pm-11:30pm, and featuring Ed Labet of Chateau de la Tour, the largest holder of vines in Clos-Vougeot!
We will have a focus on Burgundy, and the Domaine of Chateau de la Tour, where we will have an in depth conversation with Ed Labet (son of Francois Labet, owners of the Domaine). There will be Burgundy Wine Trivia, and as well we encourage you to have a favorite bottle of wine on hand to enjoy and to test the tasting skills of your peers with a virtual 5 questions blind bottle share.
  • Our next edition will be May 17th, from 10:00pm-11:30pm, and featuring Sam Pfeiffer (GM and owner of Whistler Wines), and Michael Corbett (Winemaker for Whistler Wines and Vangaurdist).
We will be focusing on the historic and dynamic wines of the Barossa Valley, in South Australia. We will have a unique chance to connect with Sam and Michael of Whistler Wines speaking about the history of the Barossa, their insights into the future of this most revered wine region and the range of styles coming to the market. As they have just wrapped up their crush for 2020/2021, this will be an amazing chance to get a glimpse into the challenges, successes, and future of this vintage.
