It's the world's oldest officially demarcated wine region and has a beyond-fascinating history of conflict, bureaucracy, and evolution. It's an historical region that has introduced a recent classification of wine (2013) in a big play to reintroduce its importance. And most importantly, it's one of the worlds most food-loving reds that simply needs to be sipped more often and with more food.
The conversation will be led by CAPS BC Board Member and Chianti Classico Ambassador, Jason Yamasaki. We will also be featuring Federico Cerelli, Head Winemaker for Castello di Gabbiano. Federico brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience. He's the perfect guide to our discussion on the modern exploration of this historic wine region.
