CAPS BC is happy to announce the second annual 2019 BC Aspiring Somm Competition.
This event is open to any member of CAPS BC who earns at least 50% of their income from hospitality employment in any role as well as has an interest in participating in future Best Somm BC competitions. The event mimics the Best Somm BC format to give aspiring sommeliers the opportunity to understand what the competition is really all about. This competition is designed for first-time competitors only (those who competed in the 2018 ASC, would not be eligible to compete in 2019). Competitors must also be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
The event runs from 9:00am-12:00pm on Monday, January 28th, 2019 at Rogers Arena.
Aspiring Sommelier Registration Fee - $50 (competition, live Somm BC competition viewing & post-competition reception).
The 2019 BC Aspiring Sommelier Winner will be announced prior to the Best Somm BC announcement on Monday evening.
